Part-Time Public Affairs Student Internship in Modesto

The Modesto Irrigation District is currently recruiting to fill one part-time Student Intern in the Public Affairs Department, General Manager Division. Student Interns can expect to work in a variety of special projects during the term of his/her internship. Potential projects during the internship may involve social media communications, community outreach materials and events, presentation preparation, and writing and editing projects.

Typical Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a four year college or university. Preference will be given to upper class applicants or recent college graduates planning to attend graduate school.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Special Requirement: Must have a valid California Class C driver license.
