Job Description

Family owned agriculture company Duarte Nursery looking for an Event Manager to develop Duarte Nursery’s identity standards and execute marketing strategies with the direction of the company president. Event Manager is responsible for the execution of changes on advertisements, coordinate and execute internal/external events and trade shows.Expand and maintain all social media presence. Provide support to the Sales Rep team throughout California and the bordering states with the Marketing program that includes print, internet, social media, trade shows and hosting events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Marketing Calendar: Includes but not limited to Events, Sponsorship, Trade Shows, Conferences involving the Agriculture industry
  • Develop current and future schedule for advertisements
  • Maintain and upkeep trade show supplies
  • Trade Show/Hospitality coordination
  • Attend Trade Shows and events
  • Maintain website, social media accounts and YouTube videos with relevant content
  • Post to all Social Media outlets often and respond to comments
  • Maintain communication with Sales Department

Qualifications

Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities. Candidate must be able to complete projects from start to finish. Need to be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment. Candidate needs to possess strong interpersonal communication skills. Must be reliable, dependable and pay attention to detail. Honest and ethical.
  • Desire to work in the agriculture industry
  • Ability to manage own time and event management
  • Preferred years of experience in event & hospitality coordinating
  • Willing to travel-possess a valid driving license
  • Some overnights required
