Full-Time Family Resource Specialist in Modesto

The primary responsibility of this position is to professionally greet visitors, manage/route phone calls and provide information regarding programs within the Family Resource Center. Will assist clients with resource applications and provide a variety of reception/secretarial assistance to program staff.

Qualifications
  1. Bilingual-English/Spanish required – Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish, fluently
  2. Minimum of 2-4 years of office/secretarial experience.
  3. Experience working with the public/customer service.
  4. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
  5. Strong organizational skills.
  6. Computer knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  7. Ability to multi-task and use good judgment.
  8. Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints, if required.
  9. Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.
  10. Valid California driver’s license and Proof of auto insurance coverage.
Duties
  1. Answer all phone calls, route to appropriate staff and/or voice mail, take messages as needed.
  2. Greet clients, inform staff, provide information to clients as needed, and assist clients in completing applications.
  3. Accept payments, process necessary paperwork and provide receipts as needed.
  4. Provide resources and referrals to clients.
  5. Process all incoming/ outgoing mail.
  6. Provide word processing support for identified programs.
  7. Make copies as assigned.
  8. Order FRC supplies as necessary, with approval of Program Manager.
  9. Assist with data entry and reporting (including PEDS and walk-in clients)
  10. Assist with tracking Differential Response referrals, including logging incoming referrals, creating charts, and mailing contact letters.
  11. Work with landlord and CHS Administrative Staff regarding facility and maintenance issues.
  12. Maintain room schedule for CHS staff and partners.
  13. Maintain and distribute FRC calendar of events and assist with creating FRC flyers.
  14. Responsible for agency vehicle scheduling and maintenance.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
