Job Description

As a Sales Communications Program Manager, you will lead all communication initiatives and projects on behalf of the sales organization. You will be responsible for developing sales communication programs and strategy to drive engagement and enable business success. You will have the opportunity to own all sales communication platforms and deploy communications and initiatives to all levels of the field sales organization. In this highly collaborative role, you will support the Sales Organization in developing and managing all aspects of communication and public relations for in-scope internal / external constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Owns sales communications strategy and partners with senior manager to develop and enhance targeted strategic communications programs that reach and engage sales teams. 
  • Ensures internal messages are communicated to sales employees in a clear, timely and effective manner, using a high-impact writing style and format.
  • Creates specific communication action plans, timelines, and defined deliverables that support the communication of internal messages to help shape culture, drive engagement, and deliver results.
  • Continually improves, measures, and analyzes the effectiveness of employee communications strategies and methods and recommends changes as necessary.
  • Leads development and distribution of Sales communications to the Sales Organization leveraging various communication vehicles (enabling technology).
  • Leads development and facilitation of Sales communication timelines, linking to program milestones.
  • Owns end to end management of Gallo Gateway app to include working closely with marketing to ensure content is up-to-date for internal and external sales people and partnering with IT to troubleshoot app issues and develop and prioritize enhancements. 
  • Manages relationship with outside vendors, including SevenFifty and Beverage Media, and makes recommendation to leadership on strategic partnership. 
  • Acts as a main point of contact between Gallo winery and distributors for digital assets. 
  • Manages the B2B digital newsletter including setting monthly brand priorities, enlisting cross-functional partners for content and distributing to trade network. 
  • Develops content and manages production/distribution of Sales weekly and monthly newsletters in ways that drive measurable increases in employee readership and engagement.
  • Owns employee advocacy program to include 3 to 5 year strategy, content curation, employee engagement, and building new capabilities within employee advocacy.
  • Manages Sales communication tools to include content management, end user relations, analyzing usage and application enhancements.
  • Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to develop annual curriculum calendar for Gallo ROSE (Remote Online Sales Education) and brings to life in virtual format.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Corporate Communications reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing and presenting information to groups of people.
  • Knowledge of basic communications/public relations fundamentals.
  • Possesses strong project management skills.
  • Computer Skill Requirements include: MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or Business Administration plus 8 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Corporate Communications reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Experience with sales web editing or content management.
  • Experience in developing and executing proactive communication programs and managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Experience completing assignments that are broad or ambiguous in nature, usually requiring originality, ingenuity and problem-solving.
  • Experience identifying opportunities and developing strategies.
  • Experience responding effectively to the most sensitive inquiries from the media, clients or members of the business community.
  • Experience building business relationships with corporate outside entities.
  • Skilled in writing speeches, articles; experience developing content for websites

  • Experience dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience working with all levels and functions within the company.
