Job Description

The Enterprise Communications Manager is responsible for the management of company-wide communications, strategies and programs to deliver and promote general and tactical information at the employee, store and management level that promotes a positive image for the company.

The Manager advises internal stakeholders on the development and design strategies, materials and standards to develop and coordinate resulting internal and external messaging through a variety of mediums to include social media platforms and video.

This position is responsible for insuring that all communications are developed to achieve brand consistency, coordination of messages, and the highest standards communication standards while utilizing and representing current trends and available technologies.

The Enterprise Communications Manager will manage multi-media production and corporate, community, and store events, and may be called upon to represent the company at internal and external events.

Responsibilities

  • Working independently and within corporate standards, develop internal materials such as newsletters, announcements, social media posts, and provides research and /draft findings to support media inquiry responses.  May draft executive level speeches or position statements. 
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and distribute cross-functional communications materials throughout the enterprise
  • Work with corporate, Supply Chain and banner teams to develop team member communications which increase engagement
  • Develop PowerPoint slides and multimedia for use in executive presentations
  • Manage communications projects such as store-based events, presidents tours, corporate events, etc. in collaboration with banners and department management
  • Represent Communications to intranet website teams to manage content and develop associate communications strategies 
  • Seek out ways to improve communication efficiencies within the company
  • Oversee content management and production of video, online and printed material
  • Utilize and implement effective evaluation tools to measure and validate programs effectiveness and results based on stakeholders expectations
  • Research news coverage and industry trends in order to develop fresh story ideas
  • Maintain communications record system/media archives
  • Work or represent Company at events

Qualifications

Education

Four-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience)

Experience 

Three years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


  • Exceptional communications skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Demonstrated experience with developing communications materials to support business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to create PowerPoint presentations to support corporate communications needs
  • Strong speech writing skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Strong graphic design experience, preferably with InDesign
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build solid partnerships both internally and externally
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
