Job Description & Responsibilities

The newsroom assistant will work mainly sports, assisting us in taking local box scores and maybe going out to cover high school football games. There are no guaranteed hours involved.The assistant will handle phone calls, do some daily inputting of information and possibly cover a high school football game on Friday nights. They also could help on news side with letters to the editor and/or Around the Region. Basic inputting of information. There could be weeks where there are no hours.
