Job Description

The Public Relations Representative is responsible for Central Valley Specialty Hospital (CVSH) maintaining the desired image, as found in the mission statement and as directed by administration, in the public eye. The Public Relations Representative makes sure that staff is providing proper customer service. Public Relations Representative gathers data from patients by conducting questionnaires, surveys and room rounds. The Public Relations Representative also maintains facility grievance process.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for Central Valley Specialty’s Hospital presence on social media including but not limited to the company Facebook account
  • Monitors facility presence online and in the media.
  • Patient room rounds – visiting the patient in the hospital making sure that their basic care is being met. Entering data of rounds to get an overall grade of care.
  • Patient surveys – gathering information in a survey questionnaire how their stay was in the hospital. Entering data of questionnaire for overall grade in care.
  • Customer Service – making sure that the staff is providing proper customer service.
  • Answer phones in timely manner as well as maintaining exceptional telephone etiquette at all times
  • Efficient data entry
  • Knowledge of staff roles throughout company
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Monitors patient relations and patient satisfaction
  • Follow up on recalls weekly
  • Maintain proper personnel conduct and confidentiality of patient, staff and physician information.
  • Monitor Patient/Family Grievance Process – through daily rounds and interaction with Nursing Clinical Coordinators and Department Managers, gather, distribute and follow up on all official hospital grievances; this will include establishing that our approved process is followed:
  • Investigation
  • Acknowledgement to patient/family
  • Follow up to patient/family and appropriate Hospital department
  • Creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the organization’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public.
  • Generate reports, graphs, spreadsheets and other documents.
  • Meet with existing clientele and customers to maintain professional relationships
  • Coordinate the appearance of the organization print and electronic materials such as brochures.
  • Creating standardized marketing practices and procedures, and specific advertising and PR plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Planning marketing-related projects and managing external marketing partners and vendors.
  • Creating and maintaining the organization’s brand, and devising brand strategies
  • Interface with outside agencies to direct activities and support internal marketing staff in their assigned duties

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Customer Service in a Healthcare setting is preferred. 
  • This position requires outstanding communication skills, problem solving abilities, and the ability to understand complex situations, as well as the ability to effectively handle escalated customer needs. 
  • The Public Relations Representative must practice analytical skills and have the ability to read and interpret data. 
  • This position requires the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. 
  • Public Relations Representative must have the ability to operate computer programs- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
